TL;DR
Key Ideas
- The concept comes from Aikido (the martial art).
- It consists in 3 main phases:
- Shu (守): it means protect, or follow the rule, apply to the letter th meathod teached, following every detail and without deviating from teachings;
- Ha (破): it means cut, or break the rule, when rules are well known it’s time to break them, discussing and questioning the topic and improving discipline itself.
- Ri (離): it means depart, or be the rule, the pratictioner no more follow the rule because he trascends it. Concepts, well assimilated as a second nature, can be completely abandoned if goals requires it.
When the Shu pratictioner think of being at Ri stage, there is the Dunning-Kruger effect
Identity Principle
«Learning is not just about acquiring rules, but transforming until you no longer need them»
Action Idea
